Dr Kimberly maintains an open-minded, non-judgmental and sex-positive attitude and environment. Dr Kimberly believes that Education and Communication are the fundamentals of any relationship. With education to all (adults, teenagers, children, and elderly) a lot of questions, curiosities and misconceptions can be cleared up. Through education comes understanding. Her goal is to open up communication between parent and child as well as between sexual partners on all aspects of sex and sexuality. Dr Kimberly works with the client to define and achieve the goals that they desire related to their sexuality.
Education Dr Kimberly got her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH in 2007. Here she focused on the Social Sciences. She became very fond of Sociology and Psychology, making that her major and minor respectively. Here she also studied Women’s Studies and Human Sexuality. It was in her third year at OSU that Dr Kimberly took the first of many courses on the subject of sexuality and found her passion for the field. She realized that there was a wealth of knowledge out there on the topic and her thirst for more information grew everyday. This combined with her desire to help others; Dr Kimberly found the start of her path in life. In the fall of 2008, Dr Kimberly began her post-graduate studies at the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality, San Francisco, CA. Her education here challenged her to expand her knowledge and embrace a sex-positive and non-judgmental attitude towards all aspects of Human Sexuality. Her training while at the Institute included but was not limited to: sexual concerns, clinical sexology, counseling skills, LGBT+ topics, sex later in life, sex and disabilities, and sex education. In Feb 2010, Dr Kimberly received her Doctorate of Human Sexuality. In addition to receiving this, she also received an Associate in Sex Education, Clinical Sexologist Certificate and a Certificate in AIDS/STI Prevention. Dr Kimberly has been a member the Columbus area community all her life, who enjoying hiking with her dog or playing video games with friends. |
